A trophy for Christmas – 42 years later!

In 1975, the Ramblers, a men’s bowling team out of Marlette, won the Handicap Team State Championship and brought the trophy back to the Marlette Lanes to be put on display. That trophy, however, was gone forever after a fire destroyed the bowling alley in 1998.

Matt Lefler, a son of one of the team members, decided it would be nice if the remaining bowlers - Art Woods, Dick Sullivan, Norm Lefler, and Rich Anderson - could each get a replica trophy for their achievement, 42 years later.

Below are current photos of those bowlers with the trophy. Above, is a team photo of the original squad, (l-r) Anderson, Dan Dziduch, Harley Abbott (Director), Bob Elliott, Sullivan, Woods, and Lefler.
