Terry Martin Buskirk, age 70, of Sandusky, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at United Hospice Service Residence of Marlette Regional Hospital in Marlette, with family by his side.

He was born June 20, 1947 in Yale, son of the late Herchel M. and Betty J. (Graves) Buskirk. Terry graduated from Sandusky High School with the Class of 1965. He married the love of his life Caroline Kerckaert March 19, 1966 in Sandusky. Terry was an over the road truck driver and founder of Eastgate Dry Cleaners which with his wife Caroline owned and operated for over 24 years. He was an avid supporter of POW’s. Terry loved spending time with family and friends, gardening, woodworking, an all around handy man and great story teller.

Left to cherish Terry’s memory are his wife, Caroline of Sandusky; two sons, Timothy (Holly) Buskirk of Sandusky and Bill Buskirk (Christine Vinokurow) of Sandusky; three grandchildren, Bill Jr., Melanie and Branden Buskirk; one sister, Kathie (Joe) Haupt; one brother, Jeff (Kim) Buskirk; several nieces, nephews and cousins; two brothers-in-law, Eddie (Barb) Kerckaert and Tony Kerckaert; three sisters-in-law, Janice (Frank) Wercinski, Sharon (John) Forbes and Sandy Howe.

Terry was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Marvin Howe and Robert Kerckaert.

A Memorial service took place at Marsh Funeral Chapel in Sandusky with Elder Harlow Elsholz and Elder Don Rudy officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to United Hospice Service of Marlette Regional Hospital in Marlette.
